MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Right before a stroke in 2017 Anna Dravland founded Spread Goodness Day, a day to do just that, spread goodness and change the world in just one day. Her belief in the inherent goodness inside all of us is a testament to her faith, courage and never giving up.
“It’s a day to celebrate goodness and to empower us to know that we can change the world every single day with every single choice we make. By celebrating together on one day, we show the absolute impact when we do it together, like there is impact, and people feel it, and they see it,” said Dravland.
Spread Goodness Day has been around since 2017 and this year was the first Spread Goodness gala at the Marquette Regional History Center. The main event tonight was the pie in your face auction where local business people bid on the right to smash a pie in someone’s face. All the proceeds from this will go towards Six Feet Over a charity that helps families affected by suicide,
Raising money, with a pie, smash, so we’re gonna talk about something really serious, and really important and we’re gonna be silly and throat pie at it,” said Dravland.
