The term says it all. Gusty winds to 40-50 mph, heavy (wetter) snow, falling temperatures. Expect blizzard conditions with whiteouts on the roads. Falling temperatures will also ice up the roadways. With all of this, travel is not recommended today unless necessary. Snowfall amounts of 12″+ for Marquette through late evening before the snow tapers off. 8-12″ or so for other areas south and west of Marquette. Farther east, rain will mix in with the snow, reducing the amounts. Weather improves for tomorrow, and a warm up into the 40s by the end of the weekend.
