ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Tuesday, two men from Wilson were arraigned on multiple drug charges.
On Sunday, February 16, Colton Brunette and Tristan Halfaday were arrested during a traffic stop, during which police found nearly 200 grams of cocaine, more than 100 grams of fentanyl, and other drugs.
Brunette is being charged with four counts of conspiracy with intent to deliver or manufacture a controlled substance. His bond has been set at $75,000. Halfaday faces eight counts, including a felony firearm charge. His bond has been set at $85,000.
Several of Brunette and Halfaday’s charges are punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Halfaday’s firearm charge could result in a consecutive prison term.
Both men are scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing on March 6. For WZMQ 19’s report on the arrest, click here.
