BARK RIVER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – A man from Wisconsin was arrested in Delta County over the weekend for possession of a variety of drugs.
On Saturday, Jan. 25 around 3:55 a.m., Michigan State Police Troopers from the Gladstone post were on patrol when they noticed a vehicle on Old US-2/41 near D Road committing traffic violations. Troopers pulled the vehicle over and initiated an investigation.
The driver, 56-year-old Steven Van Lanen of Green Bay, was subsequently arrested for possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, and analogues. Van Lanen was lodged in the Delta County Jail. He was arraigned Jan. 27 in Escanaba’s 94th District Court, where his bond was set at $20,000. He’s due in court again on Feb. 13.
