LUCE COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Newberry man is facing multiple charges after running from police and hiding in a home’s crawl space.

Michigan State Police say on December 10, a trooper from the Sault Ste. Wheeler was found trying to hide from troopers in a nearby residence’s crawl space. He was arrested and lodged in the Luce County Jail.
Wheeler was arraigned in 92nd District Court on Dec. 19. His bond was set at $1,000 cash. He is due back in court Feb. 3, 2025.
