ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – All month long, a group of Yoopers has been taking No-Shave November very seriously. On Friday, they were rewarded for their efforts by an Escanaba brewery.
Upper Hand Brewery hosted its annual Battle of the Beards. Participants competed for the titles of Best Groomed Beard, Best Freestyle Mustache, Most Creative, Most Unruly, and “At Least He Tried!”
The winners were chosen by expert judges from The Man Cave Hair & Beard Parlor. When a category ended in a tie, they called on the audience to cheer as loudly as they could for their favorite facial hair.
“I’m feeling wonderful,” said Most Creative winner Eric LaPalm. “Totally unexpected win, and I’m glad that my two years of hard work has paid off. I’m just glad I can bring a trophy home to my family. I’m just happy to be here and I love Upper Hand Brewery.”
Upper Hand Brewery and The Man Cave sent the winners home with an assortment of grooming products to keep their beards and mustaches looking their best.
