DELTA & DICKINSON COUNTIES, Mich. (WZMQ) – A healthcare organization based in Delta County is expanding to reach more of the Upper Peninsula.
UP Health System (UPHS) Hospice provides quality end-of-life care and comfort for patients in their final months. Staff members also support patients’ families through that difficult period.
Beginning November 1, nurses from the Escanaba office will be traveling to provide services to patients in Dickinson County. According to Account Executive Rachel Camp, the expansion has been a goal of UPHS Hospice for years.
“We feel like it is a community that really needs the service,” Camp said. “Everyone deserves to die with dignity and to get the support they need through that end-of-life journey. We’re just honored to be able to finally provide the care that everyone in Delta County receives into Dickinson.”
UPHS Hospice hopes to open a brick-and-mortar office in Dickinson County next year to better serve the community. To learn more about hospice services, contact UPHS Hospice at (906) 212-4933 or call Camp directly at (906) 280 – 9815.
