CALUMET, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Michigan State Police Calumet Post has presented Gary Steinhoff the Distinguished Citizen Award.
This comes after an incident earlier this year when Steinhoff was driving on US-41 in Chassell and saw a home on fire. He then started banging on the doors and windows and trying to warn anyone inside. Two people who were sleeping heard him and were able to escape through a window.
The award was presented by Post Commander Lt. Jason Wickstrom.
