Marquette, Mich. (WZMQ)) – it’s homecoming week at Northern Michigan University,
And that means a homecoming parade.
Dozens of student organizations marched up Third Street Friday evening, to celebrate the annual tradition and mark the 125th anniversary of the university’s founding in 1899.
Sports teams, fraternal organizations, university clubs, and alumni then walked back down Front Street, ending up at the dome.
And, if you were wondering… a 125th anniversary is called a quas-qui-centennial.
