MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette DDA’s Music on Third had its final night for the summer on Thursday, blocking off all of North Third Street for people to come out and enjoy over a dozen local musicians.
According to the DDA, this year was the biggest yet and sparked interest both in and outside of Marquette.
This was the first time the whole street was closed down, and Mike Bradford, the DDA’s business outreach and promotions director, said with how well this year went he hopes to be able to expand more next year.
“A lot of the ideas that have been brought to us, and the feedback, is can it go later, can you have more venues, or a bigger production,” said Bradford. “So all those things are being considered, and ways to kind of elevate this event and do it effectively and safely.”
Music on Third will return next summer on the third Thursday of each month from June through September.
