NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Negaunee man faces over a dozen charges after police say he was viewing child pornography online.
The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) says John Fitzgerald Anderson, 22, was arrested after an investigation that began when police learned he was viewing files online. A search of Anderson’s home turned up digital evidence. According to court records, the date of offense is Jan. 16, 2024.
Anderson is charge with nine counts of child sexually abusive activity- aggravated distribution, and nine counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
Anderson was arraigned in Marquette County District Court on Aug. 21 where he pleaded not guilty. His bond was set at 10% of $225,000. He was bound to circuit court during a probable cause hearing on Thursday.
