MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The second annual Baraga Block Party fundraiser is on Sunday on the 100 block of Baraga Avenue.
This year’s party will feature a dunk tank, petting zoo, carnival games, painting, and a firetruck and National Guard tank for kids to look at.
Jessica Hanely, the Children’s Museum executive director, says the Baraga Block Party is their spin on an older Marquette Tradition
“There used to be the Baraga Harvest Fest that was put on by the DDA,” said Hanely. “After Covid that was one of the things that slipped through the cracks. We looked at this as our opportunity to be part of the community again, do a big event and also raise money for the Children’s Museum, and it went so well last year that we couldn’t help but do it again.”
The party is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., it’s $10 for children to attend
WZMQ 19 is a proud sponsor of the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum.
