MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – Honey Baked Bread Company has been at the Wednesday Night Farmers Market for a while, selling sour dough sandwich bread, chocolate chip and blueberry muffins, and brownies.
Now, according to the owner Bailey Knight, they plan to open a permanent location on Third Street in Marquette.
Knight said Honey Baked Bread gets its name from its popular Honey Sourdough Sandwich Bread made with local honey.
“My sourdough sandwich bread has no artificial sweeteners, only sweetened with local honey,” said Knight. “I bake only gluten free, so dedicated gluten free, dairy free, egg free, and soy free.”
An exact date has not yet been set for opening the new location but Knight said she hopes to open sometime in August.
