MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – on Wednesday, the Marquette Regional History Center held the first tour of its annual summer Historical Bus Tour series.
This tour was started 12 years ago as a tour that can cover more historical ground of Marquette while bringing its history to life. The tour has 46 stops all around Marquette with a couple of stops having surprise characters. Plus the tour changes every year to offer a “new” tour to the guests.
“These stops and locations, you’ll remember them years from now, you’ll go ah, I think that was the point at which, Charlie Kawbawgam talked to Peter White about something,” Chip Truskon, Marquette’s Regional History Center volunteer.
There are 8 bus tours offered throughout the summer, on Tuesday at 1 and Wednesday at 3. The dates for the next upcoming tours are Tuesday, July 23rd, and Wednesday, July 24th. For more information on tours or where to buy tickets go to Marquette’s Regional History Center homepage.
