MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Today, NMU got the Marquette community out into the sunshine for it’s 6th annual arts and athletics golf outing, the charity event is held to support both the arts and athletics department and the proceeds go towards student scholarships.
NMU held the event at the Marquette golf course and partnered with over 70 sponsors like Vango’s pizza, Breakfast Bar and Bluelink who helped bring this event to life.
“We started this event because its important to take care of our students and the faculty , staff, coaches, and administration know how important it is to take care of our community and a big part of our community is students.” said Bill Digneit, department head of theatre and arts.
There was solo players and teams of 4, the event included a cocktail hour, dinner, a silent auction and a raffle. There were prizes for the teams in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
