IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Braumart Theatre is set to come alive with fashion as it hosts a unique women’s apparel show on Monday, June 10th. Lydia’s by Crock and Rocker, a family-owned boutique, is celebrating two decades of fashion events with their first-ever show at this historic venue. The boutique invites guests to join in a social hour starting at 5 p.m. Central time, followed by a dazzling presentation of summer styles at 6 p.m. Tickets are priced at $20 and include hors d’oeuvres from Crispigna’s Italian Market. Additionally, a cash bar will be available throughout the event. Guests can pick up their tickets in-person at Lydia’s.
“What we bring is, well, number one, fun. We really like to have fun with it. We like to show the clothing, and we like to show them in life. Sometimes on hangers you don’t see that,” said one of the models. “And then we also have experience of emceeing. We’ll be able to tell you what the clothing looks good with, what to pair it with, things like that.”
The show will feature about an hour of different outfits, all styled and curated, showcasing clothing, accessories, and shoes. “We carry a wide variety of prices and sizes, so everybody can find something that looks good on them,” noted the model and store employee, Chloe Grochowski.
This event marks a significant milestone for the boutique, which has been organizing fashion events for about 20 years. “I’m 21, so I haven’t been, however I’ve been doing it for the past 5 or 10,” shared Grochowski, highlighting the family’s deep involvement in the business.
The boutique, which rents space next to the Braumart, is excited about the opportunity to host the show in such a prestigious venue. “We’re going on our second year here, renting at the Braumart. It’s just a really great opportunity to do a show with the Braumart because of that.”
‘Lydia’s by Crock and Rocker’- or Lydia’s Boutique, known for its diverse collection and unique shopping experience, is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. “We’ve got different rooms that it’s almost like walking through different closets,” Grochowski. “We’ve got a denim room. We’ve got a colorful room. A room for more formal occasions, like weddings, things like that.”
After the fashion show, guests are invited to shop at Lydia’s, where special promotions will be offered. “We will have a clothing promotion and an accessory promotion. Typically, a promotion is a percent off of a certain item, like maybe a dress or a top. It’s a surprise.”
Tickets for Monday’s show at the Braumart are available at Lydia’s Boutique, located next door to the historic theater. Additionally, Lydia’s by Crock and Rocker will host a full trunk show in Ishpeming later this month at the Wawonowin Golf Club on June 24th, offering a 5 p.m. browse and 6 p.m. show.
