MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – Next Weekend the Downtown Marquette Farmer’s Market returns for its 25th year, but it’s the market’s first year with its new manager, Brian Shier.
The market will have around 70 vendors for each Saturday, including a variety of foods and local produce.
Shier said even though it’s his first year, he’s confident that everything will run smoothly.
“Well it is my first year doing the market so I’m nervous,” said Shier, “but everyone else it’s pretty much the same as it has been before. Luckily I was able to work here last year with the former market manager so that experience has helped a lot, I’m pretty very confident about what’s going to happen this year.”
The Saturday markets will start on May 18, and the Wednesday night markets will start June 19.
