ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Tuesday, April 23, the Delta County League of Women Voters will host a candidate forum for the three Delta County Commissioners facing a recall election, as well as their challengers.
The forum is closed to the public, due to the limited size of the venue and in order to “eliminate the need for security and for audience disruptions.”
“We want to offer all the candidates an opportunity to respond to questions without distraction,” a League of Women Voters spokesperson said. “We did not want to be in the position, of possibly, suspending the forum.”
Voters can watch the forum on Spectrum Channel 191 and the City of Escanaba YouTube channel. Afterward, it will be available to watch on the Delta County League of Women Voters Facebook page and website. Voters can submit questions prior to or during the forum, which begins at 7:00 p.m.
