DAGGETT, Mich. (WZMQ) – UPDATE 3:18 pm: The suspect who was arrested on Tuesday for making terroristic threats against several county officials has been arraigned in the Menominee County District Court.
Peter Sand, 22, of Daggett Township was arraigned on Wednesday afternoon for three felonies: false report or threat of terrorism, use of the internet/telecommunications to commit terrorism, and using a computer to commit a crime.
A $250,000 cash or surety bond was set for Sand during the arraignment. No future court dates have been set at this time.

A 22-year-old man from Daggett Township was arrested on Tuesday after investigators say he made a series of threats against county officials.
Earlier this year, the Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office received a series of threats from a person who took numerous measures to conceal their identity. The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into these threats, and identified the suspect as a person of interested.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the suspects resident in Daggett Township on Tuesday, April 9. The suspect was arrested following the search, and lodged in the Menominee County Jail on the charges of terroristic threats and using a computer to commit a crime.
This investigation connected the suspect to similar threats made to the Delta County Board of Commissioners, Gold Resource Corporation (formerly Aquila Resources Inc.), and the Marquette City Clerk’s Office.
The name of the suspect is being withheld pending arraignment in the 95A District Court.
Menominee County Sheriff Mike Holmes released the following statement: “Terroristic threats in Menominee County will not be tolerated. My office will continue to investigate and prosecute any such occurrences in our county.”
Sheriff Holmes also reminds community members that tips and information related to criminal activity or suspicious behavior may be reported anonymously via the Crime Stoppers of Marinette and Menominee County Facebook page, or through the Crime Stoppers mobile tip app.
