K.I. SAWYER, Mich, (WZMQ) – The Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) is holding an online survey to see how many people in the Marquette area wans air service but go to other airports because of the lack of flights.
The Partnership hopes to use the data to convince airline companies to send more flights to K.I.
LSCP CEO Christopher Germain said the lack of air service affects not only people’s travel plans, but also local businesses.
“We hear about this issue every single day when we talk about economic development,” said Germain, “because quite frankly having reliable convenient and affordable air service is an economic driver right, businesses need to get in and out to meet with clients and vendors and they need to be able to get in.”
The survey will be open until April 12th and can be found here.
LSCP will be holding a breakfast in July to discuss their findings and possible next steps.
