MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A fundraiser coming up in April is bringing game night and new brews to the party. Marquette’s Habitat for Humanity is hosting a ‘Beers & Bingo’ night and has partnered with Kognisjon Brewery to create a new beer for the event. The beer is called Habs & Hops, it will be a Vienna lager, mixing toasty flavors with herbal spice, to bring what brewers are calling an “old-world spice” to the brew.
Kognisjon will be selling the new brew in the 32 oz. can and for every pint of beer bought, a $1.00 will go towards Habitat for Humanity.
“Part of that fun now is just being able to bring people in and just try it out everybody is interested in the process when they come back here to the brewhouse but a lot of people have never tried it or maybe know anything that entails. Everybody seems to just be jumping on board to have a beer made for them,” commented Kognisjon Brewer Kris Thompson.
The new brew will be on tap on April 8th.
