MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Marquette non-profit is calling all kickball players. It’s the 4th annual ‘Kick it to Cancer’ fundraiser for Cancer Care of Marquette County.
The event hosts 10 teams in a double-elimination tournament, all to benefit those going through cancer treatment. Last year’s event raised $6,436, along with the 50/50 raffle booth.
“We have 4 teams that have committed and registered, we have two in the wings and hopefully we get 4 more, the games can be on-going some teams might play one game or two games then their out and some teams just play game after game if they keep winning,” commented Cancer Care for Marquette County Volunteer Board Member Barb Salmela.
