MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Veterans throughout Michigan and Northern Wisconsin are seeing updates to their benefits and healthcare.
At a town hall Wednesday evening held at the American Legion Post 44, the Marquette County Veteran Service Office shared updates to veterans benefits including the construction that will begin this summer on community-based outpatient expansions in Hancock, Ironwood, and Rhinelander for new veteran MSA stations.
The meeting also addressed updates to the PACT Act, which was fully rolled into effect yesterday March 5th. This allows any Veteran to enrol in VA healthcare based off their exposure without having to file for disabilities.
VA officials also stress that for any veterans that applied previously, prior to March 5th and were denied because of eligibility requirments, apply again.
