MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Marquette County Clerk is reminding its residents of the upcoming presidential primary election ballot. Tuesday is Michigan’s Presidential primary election, with voters deciding between the Democrat or Republican. The ballots will also feature local proposals.
There is a millage proposal for Sands Township to increase by 0.4688 mills for 6 years to provide funding for equipment, maintenance, and operations of township recreation facilities. The 2024 presidential primary election will also feature a millage renewal proposal for Ishpeming Public School.
Marquette City did go down from seven precincts to four precincts. “Now Keep in mind this is just Marquette County we are different throughout, I would like everybody to take that time, to get familiar with your online service that the secretary of state has put out there, it’s important it has a lot of information but it’s good information” commented Marquette County Clerk Linda Talsma.
