MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A long-awaited restaurant has made its way to the Marquette menu. Texas Roadhouse officially opened its doors after cutting the ribbon this afternoon.
The steak house held fundraisers over the past couple of days, donating all proceeds to UPAWS, UP Whitetails Association, and other organizations that helped make this possible. This past Saturday, Texas Roadhouse raised over $5200 for UPAWS and on the following Sunday, the team raised over $4200 for the UP Whitetails Association.
Marquette has a great culture of food and workers said they’re ready to bring steak to the mix. “Obviously we want to serve legendary food and give legendary service but it’s all about the people, first we’re here to serve hand-cut steaks made with scratch chives, I got guys in the back prepping everything up for tonight’s opening day and we’re just excited to be here and be apart of the community,” commented Marquette Texas Roadhouse Managing Partner Jacob Fritz.
Any student or faculty can get what’s called an “early dine price”, which includes a variety of menu items for a discounted price and a free drink.
