ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Tuesday, January 30, Delta County voters have an opportunity to learn about some key changes to the ways they can cast their ballots this year.
Bay College is hosting a Voter Information Session Tuesday evening, in partnership with the Delta County League of Women Voters and the Escanaba branch of the American Association of University Women.
The event is free and open to the public. It will focus on recent updates to Michigan’s election procedures, including nine days of early voting for state and federal elections, permanent absentee ballot locations, and dropbox security improvements.
“Bay College is a proud voter-friendly campus,” said Bay College Political Science Instructor Molly Campbell. “It’s really, really important that we help to get more people informed, becasuse there are some pretty significant and some big changes that are coming. Also, the county clerk will be there to help people understand how the early voting sites will work.”
The Voter Information Session will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Room 952 of the Joseph Heirman University Center. Click here to view the campus map.
