MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – The Honorable Matthew Weise, the former county prosecutor, was invested today as judge of the Michigan 25th Judicial Circuit Court.
Fellow 25th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Griffin Presided over the investiture, which featured remarks from the Michigan Bar Association, and several retired circuit judges.
Weise says he is excited to serve the people of Marquette County, and his main area of focus will be children and families.
“I think it’s important that kids don’t get lost in the process,” said Wiese.” For me I think it’s important to always remember that there are kids involved with these family law cases.
Wiese’s investiture today comes after serving as the Circuit Court Judge for the past two-and-a-half months, since he was sworn in October of 2023
The Hampton Inn hosted a reception after the investiture to help honor Weise and his family.
