The Upper Peninsula Animal welfare shelter is holding their annual fundraiser, Raise the Woof. Come enjoy a cocktail and some appetizers, as you laugh and enjoy the fun with comedians Marc Yaffee and Lee L.A. Lycan.
UPaws is excited to kick off their 2024 season with such a fun fundraiser, and many more to follow. Almost all the proceeds go to the shelter and/or the animals, for simple necessary expenses. If you are unable to make it to this lovely event, UPaws does take donations to the shelter as well as you are always able to stop by and pick up a new furry friend.
The board president and chair of Raise the Woof fundraiser expressed how important this fundraiser is for the animals, “Put into our operating fund, so it goes to the day to day care of all the animals we have and, we have dogs, cats, bunnies, we have reptiles, fish, so you know we do have a lot of different kinds of small animals and pocket pets as well”.
The comedy show it’s self is held at the River Rock Lanes and Banquet center, in Ishpeming. The show does have a suggested age minimum of 16 and starts at 8 P.M., doors open at 7 P.M.. Tickets are $20 online, with a deal of buy two for only $30, all purchases at the door are $20. Come laugh your tails off with UPaws.
