MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – No injuries were reported after a sauna fire in Marquette on Monday.
The Marquette Fire Department was called to 614 N Third St. around 6:20 p.m. for a detached structure fire at the back of a home. A portable sauna was up in flames and additional fire crews were called in to help.
The fire was contained to the sauna, but crews checked a nearby building and vehicle for potential spread.
The City of Marquette Fire Department was assisted on scene by Marquette Township Fire, Chocolay Township Fire, Marquette City Police Department, UPHS EMS, and Marquette Board of Light and Power.
