MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A venture started by the Steve Mariucci Family Beacon House is aiming to ease the stress for hospital employees.
The Gift Well gift shop is in the lobby of the UPHS right next to the cafeteria. The shop serves as a space for those working in the hospital to get some shopping done and to step away from the hospital environment. On top of that, the shop is offering discounts up until the end of December for last-minute Christmas Gifts. Shoppers can find anything from UP plaid, and quality jewelry to Christmas PJs and jackets.
“They don’t get a chance to get out and do Christmas shopping so this big sale that’s going on from now until the end of December was designed to help these people to be able to get the things they need for their loved ones again the idea is that we just try to make it magic for them they come in and forget where they are,” commented the CEO of Mariucci Family Beacon House Mary Tavernini Dowling.
