MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Christmas donations around the UP have helped nonprofits, and families in need, but donations also serve those who made all these traditions possible. It’s the “Christmas Is For Veterans” campaign, run by mediaBrew Communications, which collects gifts from listeners that head straight to the Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti.
The Jacobetti sends out a wish list every year for veterans with items like razors, calendars, and everyday items that help improve the quality of life at the home.
“We had an incredible donation last year of reading glasses, dozens upon dozens upon dozens of reading glasses so obviously they don’t need those anymore. But every year the list is just a little bit different but the thought is always the same just make sure that our veterans who should be recognized year round are especially recognized at this time of year,” commented mediaBrew Communications Market Manager Mark Evans.
