MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Salvation Arm in Delta and Marquette county are still in need of bell ringers for its Red Kettle campaign.
The region has almost hit 70% of the kettle goal as of last Thursday, and around 700 volunteer hours have not been filled yet. Bell ringer stations are set up outside Super One, Walmart, and other stores running from Negaunee to Marquette.
“We began with over 5,000 hours needed to ring the bell at all of our locations and right now we are down to probably around 650 hours available yet for the rest of the year which ends on Saturday,” commented Salvation Army Volunteer Coordinator Kristina Mutersbaugh.
This year, those donating to the Salvation Army can also use a card reader, making donations that much more convenient.
