MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Local artists, musicians, and photographers are coming together, showcasing their work at an Art Show in its first year. It’s the COZEE Art and Music Show, hosting over 30 artists, with work ranging from graphic novels, canvas paintings, and photography all at the Crib Coffee Shop on 3rd Street in Marquette.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will feature various live performances from local bands, with Saturday showcasing two videographer artists screening music videos. The reception will be tomorrow, December 2nd, where a panel of jurors will award the Best in Show.
“Putting on these shows and creating that platform for not just for myself but all my other artistic peers and contemporaries is important and I think that gets magnified in a small community like this,” commented COZEE Art Show Coordinator Jacob Darner.
Saturday’s reception starts at 5 pm but the organizers encourage the community to stop by beforehand to support all the local artists.
