GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A fight occurred Monday afternoon between a bus driver and student on a Gladstone Area Schools bus.
According to a letter sent to parents, from Superintendent Dr. Jay Kulbertis, the male substitute driver mishandled a behavior issue with the student leading to a physical altercation on the bus. Dr. Kulbertis apologized to parents in the letter and condemned the actions of the substitute driver.
According to the Superintendent the substitute driver has been notified he will no longer be working with the school district.
Currently the District says the incident is under investigation by the Gladstone Public Safety Department.
The altercation resulted in injuries to both the bus driver and student.
