MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Thursday marked the start of Marquettes Ladies Day, where over 70 different businesses throughout downtown had special deals through 8 PM for the community to enjoy.
The Ladies Day Out Passports were available for a $2 dollar suggested donation, headed towards the Women’s Center. Evergreen Marquette was offering 20% off to the entire store, the honorable distillery was offering $7 cosmos and 20% off all bottles, and some businesses even had a wheel of discounts to members of the community.
Plenty of deals that community members were ready to take advantage of. LoyalTees, an apparel company downtown was offering a free tee shirt to anyone with a ladies’ day passport. LoyalTees commented that events like Ladies’ Day Out don’t just support local businesses but also help get us outside to enjoy the Marquette community before the long winter.
“We like to give out free things and help out the community today we’re giving out a shirt saying you don’t need a reason to help out people…been here for probably 5 years I moved up here knowing anyone up here not knowing anybody so starting in this business it was easy for me to connect with the community and now I feel like I’m part of the community up here,” commented LoyalTees Manager Garrett Turley.
