NEWBERRY, Mich. (WZMQ) – Six people are arrested and facing charges after a “large amount” of drugs was discovered at a Newberry home early Tuesday.
Michigan State Police says troopers made a traffic stop in Newberry at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and found suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle. A search warrant for a residence was later executed, resulting in “large amounts” of suspected meth. Five people were arrested on felony drug charges. A sixth person was arrested for violation of a court order.
All six were taken to the Luce County Jail and are awaiting their arraignment.
Michigan State Police Sault Ste Marie troopers were assisted by MSP Motor Carrier Officers and the Luce County Sheriff’s Department.
