MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Ishpeming woman was charged with homicide and arson in 96th District Court of Marquette County.
52-year-old Julie Ann Boxley was charged with one count of first degree homicide and one count of first degree arson on Monday.
The charges are related to a house fire in the city of Ishpeming on March 5, 2023. One of the people in the house later died from injuries sustained in the fire.
Boxley is also facing charges in Alger County, where she reportedly tried to light her husband on fire in 2021. She was initially charged with third degree arson and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. She plead not guilty in September.
Boxley has not been arraigned in Marquette County yet, and there is currently no date set.
