MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) — WZMQ 19 is among the sponsors of the 2nd annual U.P. Ice Fishing and Hunting Expo Nov. 3-5.
Admission to the expo, which is held at the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba, is free. The expo runs Friday 3-8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The event is presented by the Daily Press and features kids’ games and prizes, food and a large number of sports-related vendors from several states. This includes fishing and hunting retailers with the latest gear and supplies.
Last year, the expo attracted a crowd of thousands.
WZMQ 19 News will cover the event and have reports this week and Monday. The station will have a table at the event, and 19 News reporter Lily Simmons from the station’s Escanaba bureau will be on hand.
