MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) — Goodwill Industries of Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan are partnering with WZMQ 19 for a winter clothing drive called Operation Warm UP.
Many people in the community do not always have enough clothing items to stay warm or lack funds to buy certain cold weather items. This cold weather clothing drive’s main purpose is to help children, students, and adults stay protected and warm during the harsh winter months ahead.
Please lend a warm helping hand by bringing your gently used coats, hats and gloves to our 5 donation centers across the UP and Marinette, WI. Donations will be accepted in designated Operation Warm UP bins located by the front entrance inside these Goodwill stores: Marquette, Escanaba, Sault Ste. Marie, Houghton, and Marinette, WI.
“We are so excited to partner with Goodwill to help those in need during the cold weather season,” said Trent Bailey, WZMQ 19 news director. “WZMQ will provide news coverage and public service announcements to bring attention to this worthwhile campaign.”
Operation Warm UP starts Nov. 1 and ends Nov. 22.
