IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Thursday, Lloyd Martin Jarvi, a 61-year-old man, was convicted on all three charges that were brought against him in a jury trial for an assault that took place last year. He was arrested and jailed on September 6th of 2022, and his $500,000 bond has been revoked.
Jarvi was found guilty of assault with intent to murder, home invasion first degree, and motor vehicle unlawful taking possession and driving away.
Jarvi was living in Bark River at the time of the assault on his wife, which occurred in Breitung township last year. Jarvi faces a possible 20 years to life upon his sentencing. Police records indicate that Jarvi is a habitual offender.
His sentencing is set to take place in December, and WZMQ will update the story as more information becomes available.
