MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Tadych’s Marketplace in Marquette has a brand new look.
The grocery store officially reopened today following months of renovations. The store celebrated with a wide variety of sample products and a ribbon cutting to welcome customers.
Upgrades include new flooring, a modernized layout, and the U.P.’s first Caribou Coffee. The store has also added self checkout areas, and is in the process of completing an online order pick up area. The redesign is a first for the store which originally opened in 1989.
“Things are put in place in a more logical order, so things make sense of where they are located. We have been in business for 30 years so things kind of get mismatched, [the store] makes a lot more sense now,” remarked Dan Parvu, the Store Director.
According to management the store which used to be open 24 hours a day will continue to be open from 6am until 11pm daily.
