IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – This weekend, a rising star in the world of cinema is ready to unleash his creative talents upon the community. The historic Braumart Theatre, a cherished local landmark, will be the stage for a remarkable production featuring a series of short films centered around the enchanting city of Iron Mountain.
The Braumart Theatre is set to dazzle audiences with a captivating production comprising a collection of short films, each drawing inspiration from the heart of Iron Mountain. Among these cinematic gems, an uproarious comedy sketch unfolds within the charming confines of the downtown district’s B’s Country Café.
The young virtuoso behind these cinematic marvels is none other than a recent homeschool graduate who hails from the city that sets the scene. He attributes his meteoric rise in the world of filmmaking to the invaluable experience gained through local film apprenticeships within the city, informing that he’d recently had an opportunity to work alongside Seth Anderson, the co-founder of Mountain Media House on a production called Northbound, based around the Upper Peninsula. He has also blossomed into the world of commercial work with several local businesses, but the young movie-maker says his biggest interest lies in fiction.
In a move that’s sure to elevate his career to new heights, the filmmaker is set to embark on a three-year journey of cinematic exploration. Post-premiere, Raiche is heading off to the renowned ‘John Paul The Great Film School’ in Escondido, California. And the countdown to this exciting adventure begins just days after the eagerly-awaited debut of his creations this weekend.
Speaking about the local film industry, Raiche commented,“There’s a nice little scene here now, and there’s a lot of people that’ll just help each other out. And you know there are actors here, there’s cameramen, so you can really do a lot with just a few people,” He plans to guide audience-members through the experience. Rached explained, “There’ll be me speaking in between, giving the behind-the-scenes details about everything.” He added that he is grateful to work with the local actors involved. “I’m really impressed with the local talent that we’ve got. So the B’s Café segment, we started in January.”
Make sure to mark your calendars for the Saturday-only because the grand premiere is scheduled for this Saturday at 7 PM Central. It promises to be an evening filled with laughter, creativity, and the celebration of a local talent ready to take on the world of cinema.
