IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – In a little over a week, eligible Veterans can get free flu vaccines at VA medical centers, community-based clinics, in-network retail pharmacies, and urgent care locations.
The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center will have drive-through or walk-in vaccine clinics at all sites from September 18. The Iron Mountain VA Medical Center will host drive-through clinics in the front parking lot from September 25 to September 29, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. A walk-in clinic in the primary care waiting room will be held from October 2 to October 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment needed for the vaccine.
There are upcoming Flu clinics being held in the 8 Community Based Outpatient Clinics, or CBOC’s, this season across the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin. Currently, the Flu shot clinic schedule is as follows for those CBOC’s:
• Hancock CBOC – Monday, September 18 and Wednesday, September 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST
• Manistique CBOC – Monday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.EST
• Gladstone CBOC – Thursday, September 21 and Friday, September 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST
• Rhinelander CBOC – Thursday, September 21 and Friday, September 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST
• Ironwood CBOC – Tuesday, September 26 and Wednesday, September 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.CST
• Sault Ste. Marie CBOC – Monday, September 25 and Tuesday, September 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST
• Menominee CBOC – Monday, September 25 and Friday, September 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST
• Marquette CBOC – Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST
