MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Superior Health Foundation (SHF) is now accepting grant applications, focusing on pediatric mental health. SHF, along with the Michigan Health Endowment Fund and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will be awarding $1.3 million in grant funding to pediatric mental health.
The application period started on June 26th and will run through August 4th. SHF organizers commented that from the pandemic, there’s no time like the present to help the future generation.
“We had a round table discussion in May where we invited a number of stakeholders to Marquette to discuss the issues and put some meaningful dollars into a topic and an area that is vitally important because our children are our future and we have to be able to make sure that their right mentally,” commented Superior Health Foundation Executive Jim LaJoie.
