KI SAWYER, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Superior Health Foundation’s (SHF) 11th Annual Golf Outing teed off this afternoon, with a full roster of teams.
This outing held at Red Fox Run raises money for the Foundation’s own health focused grants, as well as The Boys and Girls Club of Menominee/Marinette which will receive a donation of at least $5,000 from the event.
The event also had a lot of fun ready for the golfers. There was a silent auction and lunch offered in the club house, and the rest of the course was filled with game and raffle booths that spread across all 18 holes to encourage participants to have great time. and hopefully come back next year for another round.
“We want people to have fun,” says Jim LaJoie, Executive Director of the SHF. “It’s not really about low scores or about improving your golf game, it’s all about having that camaraderie, helping two good causes, and you know what, we fill up every year.”
The course was scattered with 24 teams of four, the max amount of teams this outing accepts.
