MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – UPAWS is hosting their contest for the 2024 Pet Photo Calendar Contest and all submissions are due on June 30th. It’s 10 dollars to enter your pet in the drawing and the winner of the contest will get the cover of the calendar and even a full month with their pet photos.
“Your pet can be a star and who doesn’t like to show off their pet I mean everybody’s got photos of their animals nowadays. Everything is electronic nowadays but people still like a paper calendar, I know I do,” commented UPAWS Community Outreach Coordinator Ann Brownell.
Reserve A Day is also an option as well where families can reserve the pet’s birthday or “gotcha day” on the calendar. This month is also National Adopt a Cat Month. For any cat 1 year and up, people can spin a wheel and receive up to 50% of the adoption. Adoptions include spayed, neutered, microchipped, vaccinations, and a health check.
“They are wonderful they’ve got personalities just like dogs can if you’re looking for a couch potato cat we’ll match you up, if you’re looking for more of a playful cat we’ll match you up with that so there’s something for everyone,” continued Brownell.
