MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Artists from the U.P. had their work on display all over downtown Marquette Thursday night for the start of first thursdays.
The event began 3 years ago when a group of artists came together after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic to try and get Marquette residents back outside.
The art show takes place on the first Thursday of every month throughout the summer, and features 10 different galleries around Marquette.
“I think I’m most excited specifically about having some nicer weather, so people can walk about town and actually go to each gallery, and take their time at each one and socialize with other people that value art,” remarked Lauren Call, the manager of the Graci Gallery.
