Iron Mountain, Mich. (WZMQ) – Flowerland Greenhouse, located just off Stephenson Avenue in Iron Mountain, has officially opened its doors for the season. With an impressive 11,000 four-inch pots already made up this week, owners Kevin and Tina Pirlot are gearing up for their busiest time of the year.
“We have a lot of different colors, a lot of new colors and petunias,” said Kevin Pirlot. “Small pots, we do several thousand small pots here in our greenhouse. We are selling a lot of Mother’s Day baskets this week, especially with the sun shining today, they’re going out real fast.”
Flowerland expects to go through a semi-load of pots per week throughout this summer season. The shop has been in business for over twenty years and has learned to plan ahead for their busy season by choosing orders and new colors in the fall.
Customers can expect to find a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and baskets at Flowerland Greenhouse, making it the perfect stop for all of their gardening needs. There will be sales for Mother’s Day on wind Chimes, Candles, and other gift items for the upcoming holiday. The greenhouse is open seasonally and opens at the end of April regardless of rain, snow, or sun.
