ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Ishpeming Beautification Committee is looking for volunteers to help revitalize the city’s public gardens.
The beautification committee has been working since 2014 to inspire community engagement by building and maintaining gardens around Ishpeming.
Completely volunteer run, the committee relies on Ishpeming residents to complete the labor required to manage the gardens. Gardeners say the beautification has more than just visual benefits.
“We want to see more people establish homes here and businesses, and when you have a beautiful space it all encourages that,” said Linda Andriacchi, the chairperson of the Ishpeming Beautification Committee.
