ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Escanaba nonprofit welcomed the public into its new facility this week.
Pregnancy Services of Delta County moved into a former credit union on 1st Avenue North in March. On Tuesday, community members had the opportunity to tour the facility at an open house.
Volunteers spoke with guests about additional services that will be available in the larger space, like STD testing and ultrasounds.
“It’s been quite a journey to get us to this point and get us moved from our location on Ludington Street to a building about four times as large,” said executive director Cindy Asher. “We’ve had a lot of people wanting to know how they can volunteer here, and we’ve also had a lot of new clients.”
Pregnancy Services of Delta County has reached nearly half of its $750,000 campaign goal to fund needed renovations and the mortgage payment.
